The Circle Collective was founded by two sisters: Lauren Clarke Jensen, a fashion publicist & former Harpers’ Bazaar editor, and Rachael Potts Clarke, a Wall Street lawyer turned entrepreneur. Lauren and Rachael founded The Circle Collective because they had a hard time finding childrenswear that was chic as well as sustainably and ethically made.
They both fell in love with India’s gorgeous textiles during their trips throughout the last decade, and learned that the traditional craft of fabric printing, passed down through families over generations, was slowly dying out. They decided that this was an opportunity to have a positive impact, while also making gorgeous kids clothes. So Lauren and Rachael spent years building a network of suppliers, fair-trade finishing facilities, family businesses, and not-for-profit suppliers that believe in the same things they do.
The Circle Collective's resort-inspired line is influenced by the bright color, print, and craft traditions of India, and vintage childrenswear of the 60’s and 70’s.
